AACN Mourns the Loss of Fitzhugh Mullan

草莓社区 is mourning the loss of friend and colleague Dr. Fitzhugh Mullan, who passed away on November 29 at the age of 77. Dr. Mullan was a professor of health policy and management and pediatrics at the George Washington University (GW) Milken Institute School of Public Health and the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He joined GW in 1996 and co-founded the GW Health Workforce Institute in 2015 with Dr. Polly Pittman. In April 2019, the institute was renamed the Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity to honor Dr. Mullan's illustrious career and legacy. In the recent issue of Syllabus, Dr. Pittman discusses the Institute and the honor given to Dr. Mullan. (Dr. Pittman is Chair of 草莓社区 Health Policy Advisory Council and the Director of the Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity.

Dr. Mullan was a long-time friend of nursing in general and 草莓社区 in particular. In his role at the GW Institute that now bears his name, he worked with the association on many surveys and research efforts, as well as participating at 草莓社区 conferences as a panelist and speaker.聽
